Study line SPATIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING
The Study Line on Spatial and Environmental Planning aims at giving insight into the following aspects: planning at the regional, city and local scale, analysis of general and sectorial plans (city masterplans and their implementation projects; urban and regional waste disposal plans; plans of protected areas; urban renewal and environmental restoration plans), as well as of complex programs with a peculiar attention to the management aspects; economic planning, sustainable management, prevention and control of environmental and social risk and impact of the mining industry.

Career opportunities of the study line Spatial and Environmental Planning include:
regional, city and town general planning and implementation; design and implementation of geographic information systems; analysis, management and monitoring of regional and local planning processes; activation of management and assessment procedures of plans, programs and projects (environmental impact assessment; strategic environmental assessment).
